Work In Progress

HH and I finally got round to doing a bit of creative stuff this week. It seems that just recently we have had and overload of tidying up, admin and generally running around. Time to get back to some proper work (it's more like serious fun actually). We have been working on new designs and quilts for forthcoming exhibitions (Festival of Quilts, West Country Quilt Show etc...)

I have been playing with some improv blocks, following the fun I had doing HH's Modern Jazz pattern (CLICK HERE for a link to the pattern) which appeared in THE QUILTER magazine last year. I always like to see how far I can push things, so in this version I messed around combining improv techniques to make a whole new range of sub-blocks

Cutting improv drunkards path quarter circles over modern crosses and other such foolishnesses.

Meanwhile HH is working on the next one of her Full Moon series; I believe this is February - the starving moon. It is 2 metres long and is currently being quilted continuously round the sewing machine table!
